October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My card is not the "typical" shade of pink representing breast cancer but it certainly conveys the right message.
I've known far too many wonderful people who have fought a cancer battle. Gratefully, most of them beat this horrible disease and are living full lives. They all have one thing in common. They are courageous and strong! One can't go through a myriad of doctors visits, being poked and prodded, medicated, tested, treated and often times operated on, without those two important commonalities.
My card base is Rich Razzleberry and I used the Lovely Lace Embossing Folder to add texture. The great thing about this Embossing Folder is that it goes extremely well with casual and formal cards. And, for something different, I stamped my flowers on a piece of Sweet Taffy designer paper.
The Flower Patch stamp set is lots of fun to use because it can be used as a "two-step" stamp. Rather than try to explain it, I'm including a video below so you can see the stamp set in action. I used the "stamping off" technique on my card. Don't miss my list of supplies, including the colors I used, in a list after the video.
Remember with courage and strength (and God's grace) you can conquer anything!
