Two weeks from today our neighborhood will be filled with children. Bob the Builder and I are ready and 'armed' with bags and bags of chocolate to pass out to hundreds trick or treaters that flood our streets every year. It's a fun time of year for them and we relish in providing a safe stop along their candy route.
While our tradition involves sitting in our driveway with a small table and chairs (Florida evenings are gorgeous this time of year!), your tradition might involve a Halloween party or a costume contest.
I have three great nephews; Jack is 6, Henry is 4 and Luke is 18 months. To say they are excited about trick or treating would be an understatement. My niece, Nikki, is an amazing mom and that includes limiting their sugar intake – unless of course they are with me ((wink, wink)). Here's a picture Nikki took of the boys last week modeling their skeleton PJ's.
I know I'm partial but aren't they adorable?!
I send the boys a Halloween card every year. Today's video is the card that I will be mailing to them next week. I used mostly black ink and added a moon stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink. The moon could easily be stamped in a any shade of orange, yellow or, even in black. I've also included pictures and cutting dimensions below.
Cutting Dimensions
- Basic Black cardstock base is cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
- Halloween Night Designer Paper is cut 4" x 5 1/4"
- Basic Black cardstock layer is cut 3 1/4" x 4 1/4"
- Whisper White cardstock layer is cut 3" x 4"
