While you're reading this I'm headed to the surgical center with Bob the Builder. Today he's having surgery to repair a tear in his rotator cuff.
Six years ago he had this same surgery on his right shoulder. Today it's the left side's turn. We're certainly not rookies to what this recovery will entail.
I feel for him. It's not fun to be laid up, uncomfortable (I'm going with uncomfortable versus pain because I plan on keeping him well dosed with pain meds!) or inconvenienced. Having to live in a sling for 6 weeks is very inconvenient.
We made our run to Goodwill and purchased some button down shirts. We cut up the sides which will make getting dressed a whole lot easier. Yep, we aren't rookies!
While I'll be busy these next few weeks playing nurse I thought I'd get in a little extra creative time. I played around with the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle – also this month's Studio Stamps in the Mail (SSITM) - available to order through Monday, February 6th.
I'd sure love to spoil you with pre-cut supplies, a video and PDF tutorial to make 8 gorgeous cards using this fabulously versatile bundle of products.
Oh, and you can choose a Sale-A-Bration product* for free, too!
See pictures of the complete cards, details and products include by clicking HERE or on the image below.
The soft swirls on this card are highlighted by sponging ink over the embossed Irresistibly Floral Designer Paper.
I used one of the new lace doilies from the Occasions Catalog (they are double-sided – vanilla and white) and cut off the pointed edges so they'd lend credence to the soft lines of the designer paper swirls.
And, who can resist the sparkle of a silver dragonfly. This one was cut apart from the cascading dragonfly die image.
I know you're sending good thoughts and prayers our way!

Sorry to hear Bob the Builder must have surgery, but on the bright side…he’ll have a great nurse!! I love your card today, Lisa. Those dragonflies are so elegant and very versatile. Sending healing thoughts and prayers for a smooth recovery.
So happy you enjoyed today’s card, HJ. Bob the Builder is now home, resting and napping. He has a much stronger desire to sleep than to eat but knowing him, he’ll be back to eating soon. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. They are appreciated.
HUGS!
Hi Lisa, prayers for your Bob the Builder. My husband’s name is Bob too. Sounds like our Bob’s are very special. Take good care of yourself, too,
Thank you, Kathy. So sweet of you to take the time to leave me encouraging words. HUGS!
Sorry to hear about Bob the Builder’s other shoulder. As a ‘survivor’ of a shoulder replacement years ago, I can really sympathize with the pain he will endure. Prayers will go out for him.
Hi Barbara! Thanks you for your prayers. They are being answered. So far, he’s doing amazingly well.
