For 15 years I have asked the same question.
Will the "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set be retired this year?
The answer has always been 'no'.
15 no's to be exact!
The stamp set is versatile and timeless but it's been around a long, long time.
I know, I know…many of you LOVE this stamp set.
When my friend, Lyssa Zwolanek, shared this card I knew I had to make one for myself.
I'll admit, Lovely as a Tree is not my favorite but, coupled with the new Hardwood background stamp, it could make a "come back"!
I sponged Soft Sky ink over the trees for a soft 'cloud' feel.
That tiny safety pin is from the Vintage Trinkets. As far as I'm concerned, that product is a hidden gem in the catalog. I love the miniature pieces.
Everything 'old' gets retired, doesn't it?
But wait!
On April 21st the Retired List comes out and then we'll know whether this set is headed into retirement or not.
What's your hunch?

How can it not be one of your favourites? It’s wonderful! I love that set. It’s the only one I know I’ll keep forever.
As to whether it’ll retire, I have no idea, but I am guessing no… it’ll have one more year at least.
I say it won’t retire. It’s such a versatile and classic go-to set, especially for masculine projects.
Love your card! It’s beautiful and I love how you used the ticket punch as a tag. Thanks for your wonderful posts!
Tania and D’Ann, thank you for commenting. I guess we’ll know on April 21st. 🙂 I’m leaning towards a “no”, too.
Gosh… I sure hope they don’t retire that set…
I will go with a “NO”!!!
Trish
Oh, Trish, you’re so cute. Ya’ never know. It’s been around a long, long time and it could use a “face lift”. I’m suggesting a new, revamped set with similar, updated images. It is timeless, though. After all, who doesn’t love a tree, right?
I hope it stays current 🙂
Laurie, thanks for your ‘vote’. Seems the consensus is that people want it to stay around! 🙂 We’ll see what Monday brings.
