I used the printed window sheet from the Quarterfancy Designer Paper to provide some additional texture.
I wanted to keep the page simple but bring in some of that beloved nautical feeling.
I punched holes in the corners of one side of the Crumb Cake cardstock to tie the Baker's Twine.
I did "fussy cut" the seahorses but aren't they cute?
I did 'repetative stamping' for the fish. Repetative meaning that I didn't re-ink my pad each time I stamped a fish. By not reinking the stamp the color becomes reduced, creating a shadow or layer look to your image.
Tip: Repetative stamping will provide up to 3 different tones of color.
I also die cut the letters from the Epic Day This & That designer paper to coordinate with the Calypso Coral ink and cardstock.
Oh how fun!!! you definitely nailed the nautical nostalgia feeling… and I soooooo much appreciate the simplicity of the page!! Simple is the best!!!!
The Quaterfancy DSP window sheet is a perfect touch to the page. I love the tied together photo mats, the stamping, and yes even the fussy cutting of those adorable seahorses…makes the entire page come together!!!! PERFECT!!!
I feel guilty for “scraplifting” all your layouts, however you definitely scrapbook just my style!!!!
Thank you for another perfect page!!!
Hugs,
Trish
