I don't know about you but I love ice cream even more during the summer than any other time of the year.
And, ohhhh, don't you love it served in a cone?
Eating ice cream from a cone reminds me of when I was a kid.
Today's card is a reminder of childhood memories.
Birthday parties when I was a kid were simple.
There was no "let's check Pinterest" for over-the-top ideas for decorations. The decorations weren't important.
Instead, the party was about having your friends there, playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey or Twister ((who's with me on this memory?)) and about the cake and ice cream.
Nothing else mattered!
Well, maybe the presents mattered. 😀
I copied this card design from Mary Brown. The Petite Pennant Builder punch makes the perfect cone. The top of the Cupcake Builder punch makes a great ice cream 'scoop'. Coupled with a few embossing folders you've gotta' admit, this looks pretty authentic!
And, the best part, this card could be recreated in any color scheme making it suitable for anyone.
Treat yourself this week and head out for an old-fashioned ice cream cone and relish in the memories of your childhood and days gone by.
You deserve it!
