During Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference in January, each demonstrator received a stamp set that would be in this new catalog.
The set is called So Very Happy.
When I was first handed the set I was ubber excited about the little owl that is part of the collection. It didn't take me long to realize that all the pieces, as 'random' as they may seem, were not only perfect for various types of cards and scrapbook pages, but worked very well together.
I created this "Lisa Original" for my monthly Card Class that was centered around this entire stamp set. The class was so popular that I had to teach it two nights in a row to accommodate everyone!
Here's a few tips about creating this card:
- When you stamp the rope image along the side, lay your designer paper down, without adhering it, to get a good idea of where to stamp.
- Stamp the rope image horizontally, not vertically. It's a lot easier that way. Go ahead, ask me how I know this.
- The little banners are a great way to hide the area of the rope that might not have connected when you stamped. Yep, ask me how I know this.
- Stamp the medal twice, once in Jet Black Staz On and again in Coastal Cabana. The Coastal Cabana piece is used only for the word "Happy" to layer. Be sure to use Dimensionals for that 3D look.
