During my new catalog open house at a few weeks ago I demonstrated how to make a flower using the Stampin' Up! Filter Paper.
I'd had this product in my drawer for months and never used it. I figured, what better time than to use it and demo it at my open house. Oh, and I'm so glad I did.
I puched 8 scallop circles to create this flower. The easiest way was to use the circle shapes in the Filter Paper pack, fold it into quarters and punch. I was able to get 4 from one circle. I stacked them on my Paper Piercing Mat and using my Pierce Tool, made a hole in the center and added a mini brad to hold the layers together. I began in the center and started crumpling up each layer, one at a time. When I say crumple, I MEAN crumple. Once I had all 8 layers finished I loosened up a few layers with my finger to make it look a bit more natural. I was thrilled with the finished flower!
I used the Lovely Lace Embossing Folder and spritzed the finished product, flower and all, with the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. Ohhhh, it sparkles so pretty – too bad you can't appreciate it in the photograph!
Oh, and let's not overlook that beautiful new heart border punch!
Isn't it lovely?

Lisa, This is gorgeous! TFS! Congrats to you! I saw your photo when you were on stage! Way to go!
Lisa, glad you were inspired this past week. I like the first card best. I like the vellum and the brighter colors in the flower. The yellow on the second Does not look like it is in the correct place. I would turn it up the other way so the 1/2scollop is against the top border. I like the texture on the cards and I do like these colors. But the first is my favorite.
