Yesterday was the big moving day for Gina. Can I just tell you how gorgeous this University campus is? It's like Disneyland with it's beautiful hanging foliage, in-ground speakers piping in music and it's brick paved, common sidewalks. Did I mention that this building has a fire pit for roasting marshmallows on those cool winter nights? Students get maid service every few days (yes, you read right…MAID SERVICE!) and when she uses the laundry room the machines are automated to text her when the machine cycle has stopped. Geesh, maybe I should have started a text notification process at home. That may have eliminated me emptying the machine on many occasions.
I don't think campus life is going to be too tough!
This is the building we've moved her into. Her roommate seems wonderful – they have lots in common already. We spent the day unpacking and getting her organized. We bought new bedding, towels and accessories for her room and it looked really cute when we left.
Pretty view from her dorm room!
This is the cafeteria! When have you seen a cafeteria like this? Not only is it beautiful, I was pleasantly surprised that the food was good!
Today's card is a direct CASE from one I saw created by Patti MacLeith. It's collegiate – perfect for today's post, don't you think?
I wrote a letter to Gina, which I Included in this card. I wrote about how proud we are of her, how we know that she's going to love her new campus lifestyle and that we look forward to seeing all A's! ((grin))
I used an Aqua Painter and my Mossy Meadow ink pad to color in the typewriter. I added a little Basic Gray ink to the keys after I was finished. 20" of Linen Thread was added to the front for a little texture.
Who are going to tap out a "hi" to?
