My time at the Founders Circle Retreat was amazing! I felt pampered, appreciated and I certainly laughed, relaxed and learned a lot.
I'm so very grateful to have been able to earn the privilege of attending. Thank you again to all my customers and my Hawaii Ink team!
I know I shared a peak of my Founders Circle swap in a post last week but today I wanted to 'feature' it so you could get a closer look. And, yes, it's a "Lisa Original"!
You might remember that I talked about how I sponged everything! And, I mean, EVERYTHING! I sponged over the textured Woodgrain Embossing Folder background, the tag, the designer paper and the small "grateful" banner.
Did you notice the leaf? I used the "kissing technique". Here's a few tips if you'd like to try this technique yourself.
- Ink your solid image stamp and lay it face UP on your table.
- Ink a textured image using a darker ink. I used the fern from the same stamp set "For All Things:.
- Stamp the textured, darker stamp directly ONTO the solid image stamp – "kissing them".
- Stamp on your cardstock.
- IMPORTANT: You must clean your stamp after every impression or you will muddy not only your image but your ink pad.
You might think that adding the 345 gold sequins might have been the time consuming part, but it wasn't. With the help of my 2-Way Glue Pen and a pair of tweezers I was able to get all 115 cards finished in less than an hour.
I used a combination of shredded Burlap Ribbon and Gold Baker's Twine to tie the banner onto each tag.
What are you grateful for today?
