The main reason I love what I do is that I get to be creative and SHARE it! I've been working on Christmas card projects since July and along the way I've taken time out to make some 3D projects as well.
The new Stampin' Up! Gift Box Punch Board was a product that I featured at a class last Friday. The class included the punch board and three projects. This was one of the projects everyone created. (Don't miss the Gift Box Punch Board video below!)
I used a full 12"x12" sheet of the 'Under the Tree' Specialty Designer paper to make this box. This specialty paper is cardstock weight which is perfect for box projects. The sheets are printed on both sides; one side is kraft and the other with a color print. They are gorgeous! I opted to use the kraft side and stamp small poinsettias on it. I "high-jacked" the poinsettia stamp from the Wondrous Wreath stamp.
The tag was super easy with the Chalk Talk Framelits and the Cheerful Tags stamp set for the "to, from" image. The bow wasn't difficult either. Here's how to make it:
- You will need 17" of ribbon to go around this box. Use a few Glue Dots to hold it in place.
- You will need 10" of the same ribbon to make the bow.
- Use Sticky Strip on the raw end of the 10" ribbon and adhere the raw ends together to make a loop.
- Pinch the loop in the center with your fingers and use 15" of Baker's Twine, wrapped around the center numerous times to secure.
