Today our home will be visited by hundreds of trick or treaters! We live in a fairly large community with lots of families and one of my favorite things to do is sit outside with Bob the Builder and pass out candy to our neighborhood kids. While many people dislike the idea of Halloween, for us, this is a time to reconnect with our neighbors. I liken it to a 'block party' in costumes.
The other great part, Bob the Builder and I will take in our fair share of Halloween candy!
This scrapbook layout ended up being 'tweaked' for a my Stamp N' Scrap Club in October. (Click on the picture to enlarge it on your screen.) Unfortunately I didn't retake the picture. I know, forgive me! I changed the Elegant Eggplant to Old Olive. I also used the Fall Fest framelits and cut the ghosts out of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. I used store-bought wiggly eyes on the ghosts. It was a heightened improvement.
You're probably wondering how I created the "moon". I punched a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the 2 1/2" Circle punch. I used a sponge in the Crushed Curry Ink and sponged the edges in a circular motion. I added a little Pumpkin Pie ink, too, just to give it a bit of dimension.
I still wanted to share the layout idea with you though. You might not like everything I share – that's normal. But, you can certainly copy the layouts and use your own supplies to create your own, personal designs. That's the best part of sharing, right?
Well, I'm off to fill up a huge basket of candy. The Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are all mine!
