You might remember that this same card layout from a few weeks ago. My daughter, Gina, designed the layout and I liked it so much that I decided to mimic it for this Halloween card.
Often times we try to 'reinvent the wheel' and design a card from scratch. Truth is, those cards are few and far between because they take so much time to come up with. Instead, I find numerous card layouts that I like and change up the images, designer paper and accessories.
Here are a few tips to recreating this card:
- Stamp the pumpkins in Tangerine Tango ink.
- Use a Q-tip to remove the Tangerine Tango ink only from the pumpkin stem.
- Use the Garden Green marker to ink up the stem.
- Huff on your stamp (what I call the "Darth Vader technique") and stamp your cardstock
- The designer paper strip is cut 1" x 4".
