Our family has baby news! My niece, Nikki, recently announced her "surprise" pregnancy with baby #3! We're all so excited!
Nikki is not only an amazing mom, she works full time (from home for Florida Virtual School), she's an independent Beachbody coach AND, if those things weren't enough, Nikki has a photography business called "PicNik Photography" and specializes in family photos. She's taken our family Christmas pictures and I can vouch for her professionalism and keen eye.
Here's an example of her work.
Check out how she announced her pregnancy on Facebook.
Nikki called me to shared her baby news. I was both surprised (knowing her and her husband said they were "done"…but, ahhhh, God has another plan!) and elated! I couldn't help but go into "Auntie Lisa baby mode"! And, the timing was perfect.
I was just days away from my trip to Ronda Wade's Creative Convention in Michigan and I had to create a card for a swap. I've been working on fall and Christmas cards since July so this baby card was a welcomed changed.
I used the stamp set "Baby, We've Grown". Choosing which image in the set to use was difficult. They are all so darned cute. I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest (wish I could remember whose card it was. If you know, please leave me a comment. I like to give credit where credit is due). I made a few minor changes and added the Hearts Border punch.
I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to add some splatters to the vanilla areas of my card. I also sponged the edges and of course…added some pearls. What card doesn't need a pearl or rhinestone, right?
This beautiful new life is due in April 2015. We have no idea whether this baby is a boy or girl. Nikki likes to be surprised…I love that in a world where there are few surprises left!

Congratulations on your nieces newly announced baby. It looks like the boys are getting ready!! I love the card you made. I have that stamp set and have yet to use it. I love you idea. Thank you for sharing and give your niece our love!!

Thank you, Cindy! We’re all so stinkin’ excited! Thanks for the kudos on the card. I was inspired by something I saw somewhere and just tweaked it a bit. Sending your love and blessings on to Nikki and her family. HUGS
