The odler I get the more I dislike the 'number' part of my birthday. There are days I look in the mirror and wonder, how did I get to be 53 years old? Where did the time go? Have you ever thought that?
I'm reminded, though, that my life has been full. I'm blessed – beyond words. I have an incredible family, amazing friends, a job I LOVE and the list goes on. So, age is really just a number.
That's why today's card seemed so appropriate – and funny!
Birthdays are just "age awareness days".
Simple sums up this card that I CASE'd from Alison Stachera. The Age Awareness stamp set includes lots of fun phrases including one that reads "I remembered your birthday…thanks, Facebook". With a multitude of greetings and a several images, you can create a simple, cute card in minutes.
The words are stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 1 1/4" x 3 1/2". I used a piece of designer paper measuring 1" x 4 1/4" behind the greeting and added a small loop of ribbon for some dimension. I cut the ribbon 2" long and used a little SNAIL adhesive to close up the two raw ends, making the loop.
And while we're talking birthdays, which to me are celebrations, don't miss the celebration kits in this week's Weekly Deals! These items are 25% off but only through December 8th.

Yep, I wonder that all the time… I will be 50 (yikes) in just a few months and I wonder “how the heck did I get to 50 already”….. I sure don’t feel 50, which I guess is where the age is just a number bit comes in!!! lol
What a fun stamp set, and can still be used for Christmas as, after all, it is Jesus’ Birthday!!!!
When my girls were little, we would bake a birthday cake for Jesus every year with their Easy Bake Oven. All of the birthday celebration goodies this time of year really bring a smile to my face as I am reminded of what Christmas is truly all about….. Jesus’ Birth!!!!
Thanks for the great share!!!
Hugs,
Trish
Oh, I’m so glad it’s not just “me”. I don’t feel 53 so I guess that’s another blessing. I love the birthday cake tradition – after all, that’s WHY we celebrate! Merry Christmas, Trish!
