Some of you might be happy that the holiday is over, but the Curcio's aren't. To be quite honest with you, I love Christmas so much that I could keep up the tree and lights all year long. Bob the Builder spends 3 days decorating the outside. Every year he tries to out-do his number of lights from the year before. This year he easily topped that by installing a laser snowflake system. I tried to photograph it but it just didn't come out like we had hoped. ((sigh)) It shines on the driveway by the front door and it's spectacular!
Our home sits on a corner lot and Bob the Builder decorates the front, sides and back!
Every year he adds something new!
This year his lights topped 4,000! Truly, the photographs don't do the house justice. We have "drive by's" every night!
Bob the Builder INSISTED that we have not one, but TWO lighted wreaths on our front porch. ((Whatever, he does the outside!))
I get to do the inside! I spent 2 days decorating every room! Yes, EVERY room. I won't bore you with all pictures but here are a few of my favorites. I call this my "little forrest" of trees. The largest one stays up all year long and I decorate it with a different theme for every month.
Our family room houses our only big tree, although we have 8 altogether – and yes, they are all decorated. This tree is the most special to us as it holds years worth of treasured ornaments. Some are over 30 years old!
And, doesn't everyone decorate their bathrooms? This is the guest bath and yes, I have a matching shower curtain, too. I told you I was obsessed with Christmas!
This year, though, things are a bit different. Because of logistics most of the members of my family weren't together yesterday. So, we're extending Christmas by just one more day – today!
Everyone's coming over here for a big Christmas meal (thank you Honey Baked Ham!), appetizers and side dishes and we'll exchange gifts. I love being with my family. There's always lots of laughs. And, you never know, us girls might escape after dinner and hit up the stores for a little "day after Christmas" sales!
How are you spending your "day after"?

So happy to see your “high lights” of you and your husband’s decorating talents! Had a great holiday with family yesterday, son, wife and 2 boys, daughter, daughter-in-law and 3 boys. Yes, all boys ages 11-18. Opened presents, ate too much and played games. I’m still as happy today as yesterday. Praying that you and yours have a happy and blessed holiday and New Year.
Hi Kathy! Sounds like you had a wonderful family ‘crowd’ for Christmas…but that’s what its all about! We had a wonderful time and looking forward to a 2015 filled with blessings!
