Welcome to our "Color the World With Blendabilities" Blog Hop. You've found your way here from the fabulous Phyllis Sheppard. Phyllis always has the coolest things to share and I feel honored to be following her on this Hop!
This month's blog theme is all about Blendabilities, aka "Blendies" in Lisa World. When Stampin' Up! introduced Blendabilities I was thrilled! Not only do they color beautifully but they me look like a professional artist because they do the shading for you.
I wanted to challenge myself for today's Hop. I decided that coloring the new, FREE Sale-A-Bration designer paper "Irresistibly Yours" would be a great way to showcase these amazing alcohol-based markers.
I used the Soft Sky Blendies and colored directly over the designer paper, light to dark, working my way up to the top. Notice how the ink resists the white embossed polka dots – a beautiful feature in this exquisite designer paper!
The variations of the color worked perfectly to create the background sky for my grass and flowers.
I used a combination of the Boho Blossom and the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack to create the flowers. I drew the stems in the Pear Pizzazz marker to coordinate with the grass.
Don't stop hopping – head over to the see what Sue Lehrer has for you. You won't be disappointed!
Hi Lisa- I just wanted to let you know I love this blog post and your work! Such an amazingly cute set of cards! I have resisted getting this set, but now I must have it! Have a great day!
Hi Lisa- What a sweet card! It makes me yearn for spring!
Hi Lisa,
Very cute card.
Very pretty card, Lisa!
Thank you ladies. Except for today, it IS spring here in Florida! My azaleas are blooming! 😀
So blessed to be included in a blog hop with so many creative stampers like yours.
Your sweet card makes me smile – and is helping warm me up! It is NOT spring here in Minnesota!!! Everything is buried in snow! Thanks for the sharing!!
Lisa, your attention to detail is amazing. Such a sweet card for any occasion!!!
Very cute, Lisa! Love the card.
Thank you, ladies. I’m overwhelmed with your kind words! So glad you like the card.
What a great card. I will have to make one for spring. Love all the special details you showed here!
Thank you, Phyllis. It was lots of fun to make. Appreciate the comment!
Love the tip about coloring the sale-a-bration paper with the blendabilites. Great stamping tip.
Thank you, Patsy. Those Blendies are so much fun and I’ve found lots of fun ways to use them!
So cute 🙂 I love the gradient look you created for the background. It really did make for a nice sky.
Thank you Amber. I was surprised how easy it was to create this look on this gorgeous resist DSP!
