Post-It Notes

Did you know they were invented by mistake?

In 1968 a man by the name of Spencer Silver was trying to develop a super strong adhesive for the aerospace industry. The adhesive he developed turned out to be just the opposite of what the aerospace industry needed.  It wasn't until 1973 that Silver began pursuing a use for this temporary, non-marring type of glue.  Many years would pass before 3M agreed that Silver's accidental invention could revolutionize the way we take notes.

In1987 the first Post-It-Note was born.

I guess it wouldn't surprise you that the world uses millions of post-it-notes a year – in varying sizes and colors.  I guess it also won't surprise you that I have lots of them in my stamp room which led me to this video.

Today's project is quick and easy and makes a great gift and/or craft fair item.

I've posted still photos and cutting dimensions after the video in post.
