Welcome to our Blog Hop. You've more than likely made your way here from Phyllis Sheppard's Blog. If you're starting here – perfect!
Creative Inking is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators sharing themed projects. This month's theme is Mother's Day.
My Mom lives in Las Vegas and because we're far apart and she loves to shop online, a gift card is the most practical thing to send her for Mother's Day. I wanted a full size card that accommodated the gift card. I created this card by complete accident but am very happy with how it turned out.
You might not be able to tell in the picture but I used the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spray on the front of this card. The shimmer is subtle and elegant. I used the Flower Frenzy Die and the Floral Framelits to create the flower pieces.
A gift card tucks perfectly inside the pocket.
Cutting Dimensions
- Cut cardstock base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
- Score at 1 3/4" and 5 3/4"
- Use Glue Dots or a small piece of Sticky Strip to hold your pocket closed. Be sure to allocate enough room for the gift card.
- Cut the Gold Soiree Designer Paper pieces; 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" and 2 1/2" x 5 1/4".

This is such a clever card, and the way you have the gift card tucked in, it is very eye catching.
