When you have designer paper this gorgeous there is no need to cover it up!
I created this card for my Crafting at the Lodge Retreat last month. I toyed with adding a sentiment and I certainly had room to do so but I decided against it.
Sometimes less is more!
I cut a piece of the Painted Blooms Designer Paper 4" x 5 1/4" and mounted it on Blackberry Bliss cardstock.
The Artisan Embellishment Kit, if you haven't paid much attention to it, is FABULOUS! I wish I could emphasis FABULOUS enough! This kit contains all kinds of wonderful embellishments, several of which I used on this card.
The kit is available in the Occasions Catalog and only through June 2, 2015.
*Note: the catalog pictures 4 mini white doilies but the kit actually only contains 2. It was a misprint in the Occasions Catalog and incorrectly photographed.
The beautiful Blackberry Bliss velvet ribbon and the larger pearls are both from the Artisan Embellishment Kit. I used two, 5" pieces of the velvet ribbon and secured the raw ends to the back side of the designer paper with Glue Dots.
I simply added a butterfly by punching a piece of coordinating designer paper with the Bitty Butterfly punch that I mounted with a Glue Dot.
Sometimes words aren't required!
