Hearts are probably the most versatile image we can have as paper crafters.
They can represent love, family, miss you, get well, weddings, anniversaries, thinking of you, sympathy…anything, really.
I created this card for my monthly Chicks, Chocolate & Cards Class. I was inspired by a card created Judy Cantrell.
There are lots of layers on this card and frankly, the picture doesn't do it justice.
Cutting Dimensions
- Whisper White cardstock base is cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
- Elegant Eggplant cardstock (2 pieces), one cut 4" x 5 1/4' and one cut 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
- Perfect Plum cardstock is cut 3 3/4" x 5"
- Old Olive cardstock is cut 3" x 3"
- Whisper White cardstock (stamped panel) is cut 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"
- Whisper White cardstock (for the greeting) is cut 1" x 5"
I used four colors of ink although it may only appear as if I used three. The Elegant Eggplant and the Perfect Plum are 'sister colors' and are separated only by a hue. If you look closely you can see the variation. I threw in the Pool Party ink for a fun splash of color.
Is it any wonder that this card was voted the "favorite" at this month's class?
