The sayings in the "Sprinkles of Life" stamp set are just as cute and versatile as the images.
I wanted to build a 12"x12" double page scrapbook layout around the saying "Every cloud has a silver lining, you just have to look up". I began with Basic Black 12"x12" cardstock and layered two Whisper White sides cut 4 1/4" x 11". I added a small strip of Silver Glimmer Paper cut 1/4" x 11" to coordinate with the "sliver lining theme" of the title.
The greeting is all on one stamp so I used the Basic Black marker to color in one line at a time then stamped them in their appropriate locations.
Since the remaining half of my title was encouraging I was careful to include the bright colors of Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight cardstock for the photo mounts.
One of my favorite things about this new stamp set is the coordinating Tree Builder Punch. The pieces can be used individually as punch art or together with the stamp set. Here I used the cloud image on Smoky Slate cardstock with Memento Ink and colored in the rain drops in bright, cheerful colors using markers. I also used a Stampin' Sponge and Smoky Slate ink to add a little cloudiness to my image.
The second page of my double-page spread includes a stamped tree surrounded by flowers and a tiny bird that was stamped in Tempting Turquoise ink on coordinating cardstock. And, yes, I used the punch for that tiny bird as well. I love EASY!
Just remember, things look darkest before the dawn. ((smile))
