It's summertime and that calls for ice cream and today it's blue!
Here's a fun fact for you. Blue ice cream can be found in the Midwest United States, mainly Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. It's described as marshmallow sweet and tastes remarkably like Fruity Pebbles. Are you wondering what this flavor is called? Smurf, of course!
Stampin' Up! demonstrators were allowed to pre-order a selection of products and I couldn't resist this new stamp set called "Sprinkles of Life" for two reasons.
First, the set is ADORABLE! It has 22 photopolymer pieces with the perfect combination of images and words for any occasion.
Secondly, $3 from the sale of every stamp set will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities for which Stampin' Up! is a global sponsor. I am the assistant lead for the Ronald McDonald House in Tampa, FL on behalf of Stampin' Up!. I create hand-stamped cards that I donate to the House guests to use while their child receives life-saving treatment.
The cardstock base is Marina Mist and I also used Pool Party and Soft Sky cardstocks for the additional ice cream scoops.
I used an image from another new stamp set called "Layered Letters Alphabet" to create the semi-circle background which I stamped in VersaMark ink for a watermark look.
No fussy cutting here! This fabulous stamp set has a coordinating Tree Builder Punch. This punch includes 7 different pieces allowing you to punch out the images in this coordinating stamp set or you can create your own punch art image. FUN STUFF!
For something different, I turned up the bottom corner of the card and added a Real Red Candy Dot to coordinate with the cherry. I used the White Gel Pen and added faux stitching around the card to finish it off.
If you've followed my blog for any length of time you will know that I offer events called "Creativity for a Cause" where groups get together and help me stamp and assemble cards for the Tampa, FL Ronald McDonald House. You can organize a group to help my efforts, too. All the information can be found on the "Creativity for a Cause" tab to the right.
I offer exclusive REWARDS for my online shoppers. Pictures and details can be found HERE.

Love this card idea…. I’m really loving this stamp set and the life saving punch… lol. I was wondering though, did you use the corresponding ink colors to make the different scoops? Thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity
Hi “Cookie”! Yes, I did. The same Pacific Point ink (as listed in the supplies shown at the bottom of my post) was the only ink I used for the remaining scoops. I’m so glad you like it! Enjoy!
