This month's hop is all about celebrating the awesome new products in the 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! catalog. If you've joined me from Phyllis Sheppard's blog, welcome! If you're beginning here, following along so we can inspire you.
Today's card was created with the new Remarkably Yours stamp set. When I saw the large sketched images in this set I knew I had to have it for watercoloring.
I began with a 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" piece of Blushing Bride cardstock. I used the new Fluttering Embossing Folder for the background.
I stamped the image with Jet Black Staz On ink on Watercolor Paper and used my Aqua Painter to spread color from the ink pad lid over the image. Watercoloring doesn't require experience when you use this fun 'swoosh' technique. It provides beautiful color without having to color inside the lines. I used Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz ink for this image.
The new Blushing Bride Sequin Trim is gorgeous and not just with Blushing Bride cardstock and ink. Don't overlook the beautiful addition to all your pinks, purple and neutral tone cards. They're stunning! I added Pearls to the tops of the sequins to play up the soft, delicate feel of this card.

Lisa- love this card, so sweet! Thanks for the inspiration!!
Lisa I love this and how you used those colors. I especially loved it that you put the pearls over the sequins. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Love the look of the sequins with the pearls. Great accent. Thanks for sharing.

What a pretty card. I have yet to get some watercolor paper but I’ve been seeing more and more examples that show me I need to give it a try 🙂
Not only do you have a beautiful card, Lisa, but you taught me a new technique–swooshing!!!
This card is darling! Just love the colors! Thanks for sharing your ideas with all of us!
Wonderful card! I too have to use the Watercolor paper more!
Such a pretty card, Lisa-amazing how the black sets it off but does not overtake the subtle colours.
