Most of you know my daughter, Gina, (aka "Boo") because of her Paper Pumpkin with Boo videos.
What you might not have known is that Boo is a film production student. She will graduate in May 2016.
Just a few months ago she was nominated by the film production professors at her University for a Sag Award in the category for "Outstanding Film Newcomer".
When we arrived on campus to pick her up I almost didn't recognize her! She was all "dolled up" and looked so grown up! My "little girl" has emerged into a beautiful, confident and independent woman!
No doubt, her nomination called for a special card.
I looked up the specifics of a directors clapboard on Google and decided I could mimic it with the help of cardstock and punches.
I used a medium white envelope and cut off about 1". I then cut the Whisper White cardstock about 1/8" smaller than the envelope so it would slide in and out easily. The 1" remaining piece of the envelope became the clapboard portion which I hinged with a Candy Dot Base.
The Chevron Border Punch added the perfect details and I finished my mimicking a clapboard categories using the White Gel Pen.
Although Boo didn't win in her category she will always be a winner with us!

Congratulations! You must be so proud! That is all you can hope for for your child, that they have confidence and are ready to take on the world.
Love your card!
You’re absolutely right, Gigi! My prayer has always been that Gina would grow up independent, confident and strong. She’s an amazing young lady and we are incredibly proud of her. Thank you for your sweet, kind words of affirmation. HUGS!
