I'm still experimenting with my new camera and lighting. I'm asking for a little patience and some feedback as I figure out the 'high tech' use of this amazing new Cannon PowerShot SX60HS. Boo has been a big help since she's a soon-to-be film production major. Yep, my college tuition is hard at work since she's patiently explaining what all the fancy buttons are used for.
Please leave me a comment today and give me a feedback on the pictures I've posted today.
The new hostess stamp set "Floral Wings" is beeeee-uuu-tiful! If you haven't taken a look at the hostess stamp sets in this new catalog you will want to flip over to pages 179-181. These stamp sets can be selected as part of the host rewards for orders totaling $150 (individual or combined totals).
I started with Very Vanilla cardstock as it coordinates with the Pretty Petals designer series paper stack. I stamped the vase in Calypso Coral and stamped off a layer of ink so it would be a little lighter and allow my flowers to stand out. I cut 6" of Burlap Ribbon and shredded the ends to use a single strand for the bow on the vase which I attached with a Glue Dot.
The Ovals Collection Framelits were used to cut out the image. The banner tip was cut using the new Triple Banner Punch (LOVE THIS PRODUCT!) and I mounted the image with Dimensionals. It's an easy card and one that's fitting for any occasion.
Lisa, There are a lot of us out here trying to figure out our new fangled cameras. May be she could help us all with some instruction videos!!!

Lisa , I think your doing great !! Your so lucky you’ll have your daughter to show you how to use your new camera, can’t wait to see what you do with it !!!
Hugs Frenchie
Gosh, Frenchie, thanks. But, honestly, this picture was taken about a week ago when I FIRST got the camera. The pictures coming up are lots better -thanks to Boo! She’s teaching me about f-stop’s and aperture..whatever that is. LOL 😀
Hi Cindy! Well, if I could nail her down for more than 15 minutes at a time she probably would. She is working 2 paid internships this summer and very involved at her church. I can certainly pass along what I learn — when I figure it all out. 😀
Hi Lisa, pictures are clear and concise. Kudos to Boo and you!
Aww, thanks, Kathy! They have even improved more since I posted this. I appreciate the feedback as we continue to work on getting all the settings on this new camera correct. 🙂
Lisa, you’re doing a great job with your camera! Good for you and thanks for sharing!
Diane Gil
Aww, thanks, Diane. I’m sure trying that’s for sure. I think I’m getting better. Lets see what you think in a few days from now when I’ll be sharing new projects with new camera settings. Please continue to give me feedback. It really helps during my learning process!
HUGS!
