I warned ya' that there would be more sketch challenges and here's another.
I'm having a BALL trying out these challenges. They really make you "reach" for new stamp sets and bring out your inner artist. This sketch challenge is from CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #134.
So, you're probably wondering where this stamp set, embossing folder, and doily have come from. Great question. They will be in the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog which debuts on September 1st. This new Holiday Catalog has loads of new products (51 pages to be exact!) and there's something for everyone.
This stamp set is called Among the Branches. The embossing folder is called "Woodland" and I love the 6"x6" size so you can easily incorporate 3D projects and scrapbooking. The doily – oooohhh, the doily…these new Spider Web Doilies are an amazing product and might I add, incredibly priced at $4.50 for 24 (U.S.).
So, confession time. This was my second attempt at this card. The first card didn't line up correctly in the lower right corner which chopped off my greeting. EEEE-GAD! Good news, though. I turned that mistake into a cute tag. Ahhh, the love of repurposing!
If I had to give you one piece of advice about this sketch it would be to stack all your images together, hold it against your base cardstock, flip it over and trim it BEFORE mounting it. This way you will know whether or not you need to adjust the layers so that they cover the corner.
Sharpen your pencil and mark your calendar for September 1st. You're gonna LOVE filling out your Holiday Catalog Wish List!

Hi Lisa, what color did you use to stamp “spooky”? Smoky slate or Whisper White?
Hi Sue! I stamped it in the new Archival Basic Black ink pad that will debut on September 1st. IT’s stamped on Whisper White cardstock and it’s mostly a solid stamp, as you can see. Only the eyes are a negative image.
