You aren't going to believe this amazing work of art! This beautiful paper dress was created by one of my Hawaii Ink team members. ((insert ubber proud leader smile))
Carolyn Watrous, affectionately known as C.C. to her friends, was inspired by a dress created by Australian Stampin' Up! demonstrator Carolyn Bennie.
C.C. took these pictures with her iPad and unfortunately, even after editing them, they aren't perfect, but does it really matter? Look at this MASTERPIECE!
C.C. told me she found a great use for the packing paper that comes in our Stampin' Up! boxes – that is what she used to cover the dress form! Once the dress form was covered she began the tedious task of designing. She worked on this project for DAYS! In fact, she admits that she designed and even began making several other dresses before she decided on this particular one.
C.C. cut strips of cardstock and looped the ends together which would later become the ruffles to the skirt. She made dozens of roses using the Spiral Flower Die and dozens of intricate butterflies using the Butterflies Thinlits.

I couldn't be more proud of the immense and diversified talent that we have in our Hawaii Ink team. We are a close-knit group of individuals (and yes, we have a man, too, and we love him – Hi Joe!) who share project ideas and have grown to know one another personally.
