Another Stampin' Up! Convention has come and now, gone. To say that I had a great time would be an understatement. I mean, how could one NOT have fun when you're surrounded by thousands of fellow paper crafters who love the products as much as you do and who share openly!
Awards Night was a highlight for me. Again this year I was awarded into Stampin' Up!'s Founders Circle – the top 100 demonstrators in the U.S.! A huge thanks to Bob the Builder, Boo, my customers (both online and local) and my Hawaii Ink stamping team. I couldn't have earned this without all of you!
The Founders Circle bag is always an indication of what the Retreat theme will be. This beautiful bag is reminiscent of the beach theme Stampin' Up! has planned for us and I can't wait. The Retreat begins on September 16th and it can't get here fast enough!
Awards Night included a roaring 20's theme. We were encouraged to dress up. Confession time! I didn't want to dress up. I know, I know…but I had already purchased a new dress to wear before the 20's theme was announced and I was pouting that I couldn't wear it. Bob the Builder was the catalyst in convincing me that we HAD TO dress up. And, I'm so glad we did.
You might not recognize the fully bearded man on the right end but that IS Bob the Builder. Despite my poking, prodding, bribing and complaining, the beard is still here. I guess the upside to the beard is that it fit his 20's costume quite well. ((Shhh, don't tell him I said that.)) I'm next to him in the gold fringe dress…complete with head piece, feather boa (which made my hotel room look like I had killed a black chicken) and fish net stockings, too.
Who said 'dress up' isn't fun?
Here's a quick recap of our few days in Salt Lake City for Convention.
Keep you eyes open. I made the clip! HINT, this gold dress shows up!
