I've lived without snow for over 28 years. I don't miss driving in it. I don't miss having to scrap my car windows off or heating up the car before running errands. And, I certainly don't miss shoveling it.
There is only one day a year that I truly miss snow and that's on Christmas Day. As a kid growing up in the suburbs of Chicago I can clearly remember many Christmas mornings where I'd look out the big picture window of our living room to a fresh blanket of snow.
It twinkled!
It was that memory that inspired my card.
The new Flurry of Wishes stamp set is beautiful! This stamp set is also offered as a Bundle in the Holiday Catalog which includes the Snow Flurry Punch – saving you 15%.
I used the Squares Collection of Framelits, Silver Glimmer Paper and heat set Silver Embossing Powder for the greeting.
Cutting Dimensions
- Lost Lagoon cardstock for the base of the card is cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
- Mint Macaroon cardstock layer is cut 4" x 5 1/4"
- Whisper White cardstock layer is cut 3 3/4" x 5"
- Silver Glimmer paper is cut 1 1/2" x 5 1/4"
The center of the snowflakes were screaming rhinestones. After all, the best part of snow, in my opinion, is the twinkle!
