I've been counting…
the number of days until Christmas!
Now, don't be like that! You know it's a great time of year filled with decorations, baking, being with friends and family and yes, gift giving. I love buying gifts and wrapping them. A) I love to shop (apparent by my stamp room, I'm sure!) and B), I love wrapping because it's another creative outlet. I'm gearing up for Christmas by enjoying pre-holiday shopping and creativty.
Today's card is a CASE from one in the Holiday Catalog (page 12) and I did put a few "Lisa tweaks" into it.
One thing for certain, the coordinating edgelits are a winner for creating this stunning skyline card. Purchasing them as a Bundle saves you 15%, too!
I used Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the skyline using the "Sleigh Ride" edgelits are part of the Bundle. I used the new Precision Base Plate which eliminates the fussy poking and wax paper trick for the easy release of the die. When cutting through the Glimmer Paper, because of it's coarse texture, I cranked the edgelits through my Big Shot using the Precision Base Plate, three times and the pieces fell out!
I used Watercolor Paper for the background. The beautiful washed background is easy to create using the Aqua Painter. If you haven't used an Aqua Painter, I have a video tutorial HERE. The secret to this effortless background is the Watercolor Paper. The paper is very absorbent and you can color over it again and again without it piling.
