I'm back with another challenge card for Freshly Made Sketches.
I absolutely fell in love with the tag in the Holiday Catalog (page 13) that uses this "Winter Wishes " stamp set. Even though I wanted to CASE the tag concept it I knew I could put my own spin on it.
I used Crumb Cake cardstock as the base of my card and stamped the Hardwood background stamp on an angle. I know – an angle?! But, look! Doesn't it really give a lot of dimension to this card?
And, what's a "Lisa creation" without some sparkle, right?
I used the new Fine Tip Glue Pen and added small spots of glue, randomly all over my card. I then sprinkled Gold Glitter over the glue. I allowed it a few minutes to dry so the glue wouldn't run and all I can say is 'wow', I'm thrilled with the results.
I also added strands of each of Linen Thread, Gold Cording and Gold Baker's Twine. To add to the rugged outdoorsy feel of this card, I separated the strands of the Gold Baker's Twine using my Paper Piercing Tool.
If you haven't given the new Fine Tip Glue Pen a try, I highly recommend it. IT ROCKS! Stampin' Up! recently produced a short 'tip' video about this pen.
