The past 9 days went by way too fast and I'm sitting here wondering how next week could be October 1st already?
October 1st is my little sister, and only sibling's, birthday. October 1st is also the 'official start' of my Christmas shopping. I can't enjoy the holidays when everything I want to do gets crammed into a few weeks. I'm proud to say that I've already knocked out three gifts and it's still September. ((insert happy dance)) October 1st is also the day I'll be kicking off my Online Classes link. Click HERE to see what's coming.
Here in sunny, warm Florida, my roses are thriving so I wanted to share a double page scrapbook layout that I created featuring the rose in the "You've Got This" stamp set.
I kept the color concept simple with Basic Black and Watermelon Wonder.
Not too long ago I shared how to shade using your markers versus watercoloring. If you missed the video you can view it by clicking HERE.
I stamped 'off' the background stamp, included in this set, so that it would be lighter than my flower. I added Dazzling Details to the center of the flower. I have an old (and I mean OLD!) video showing you how to apply the Dazzling Details for quick drying time – click HERE.
To sparkle things up (you know I HAVE TO!) I added some rhinestones and silver foil circles using the 2" circle punch. It's an easy layout and will allow you to capture those last summer photos you have still stored on your phone or computer.
Go ahead, make a memory last by preserving it in a scrapbook. After all, October 1st is around the corner and before you know it, 2015 will be gone!
Thank you, Lisa, for that helpful tip. I would pop out the pads and wash them, which led to accidental breaking of the prongs that hold the pad in place. Not a happy face :{. Your method is much better and I appreciate you sharing :}.
I’m so glad this has helped you, KJ. I had the same problems with removing the pads and well, you know…”invention out of necessity”! 😀
Lovely layout. Thank you so much for sharing. Where in Florida do you live? I live in Callahan, just north of Jacksonville.
Hi Patti! Thank you for the kind words and comment. I live in Brandon which is about 4 hours south of you. If you’re in the area sometime please contact me. I’d love to meet you!
