Oh, how I love this time of the month when I can partner with 12 creative stamper. We love to showcase new projects and provide you with fresh inspiration.
This month's blog hop theme is centered around techniques.
If you've made your way here from Phyllis Sheppard's blog, welcome! If you're starting here, perfect!
I chose the emboss resist technique. I began with a piece of Watercolor paper measuring 4" x 5 1/2" and layered it on top of Whisper White cardstock.
I cut another piece of Watercolor Paper measuring 1 1/2" x 4". I stamped the Dots for Days background stamp in Whisper White Craft Ink and topped it with white embossing powder and used the Heat Tool to set it.
Once the embossed image cooled I used a series of ink pads to sponge ink in a rainbow of color. The ink resists the embossed areas leaving the white polka dots white. When I was finished sponging color I used a paper towel and buffed the image to remove any excess ink that may have remained on the embossed polka dots.
The Butterfly Thinlits are so beautiful and even more so with Vellum Cardstock. I attached the butterfly with a few Glue Dots and aded a string of pearls to enhance the body.
It's a simple, clean card but the results are so stunning.
