It's beginning to feel like fall here in Florida. The temperatures have fallen below 70. I love warm weather but I'm enjoying these cooler temperatures so I can break out my long sleeve shirts and sweaters. Yes, Floridans wear sweaters when it's 70 degrees!
I'm sitting here in my long sleeve shirt, typing, looking outside and thinking, wow, it's going to be Thanksgiving in 2 days! Where has this year gone? I'm also thinking about all the things I'm grateful for.
With thankfulness in mind, I created this card which I taught during my monthly Chicks, Chocolate & Cards class.
I love the texture of the corrugated cardstock and used it to die cut the leaves from the Leaflets Framelits. I sponged them with ink to create a more realistic look. Don't you love the depth that sponging creates?
I used the Hardwood background stamp, inking it very lightly. It certainly added to the rustic feel. I added some ribbon and a short strand of Gold Sequin Trim to the stem of the leaves. Here's a tip. When adhering heavier ribbon and embellishments add a piece of Tear & Tape. I added two small strips to the back of the ribbon and I'm noticing it's holding up much nicer than numerous Glue Dots.
