Our family has a lot of December birthdays and while I was sorting through my stash of birthday cards I realized I didn't have a card appropriate for the little kids in our family.
My niece, Nikki, jokingly calls her boys "my little monsters". They aren't monsters at all! In fact, they are incredibly well behaved. But wonder behavior aside, they are young, they are boys and they are active!
Meet my great nephews, Jack (5), Henry (3) and Luke (7 months). Nikki is my sister's daughter and I call her "Super Mom". Nikki works full time, from home, for Florida Virtual School. She is also a coach for BeachBody and owns a photography business, PikNik Photography. Wow, right?
I used Basic Black as the base and I textured it using the Chevron Embossing Folder. I used a sponge dauber to add Whisper White craft ink to the raised areas.
My little monsters were created using the Owl Builder Punch. To create their bodies, I turned the owl image upside down and made a few snips with my scissors.
I added Whisper White Baker's Twine for the balloon strings and tucked them behind a small banner that reads "Celebrate".
I think this card will be perfect for one of the boy's birthdays. Notice I said "one" of their birthdays. Heaven forbid that anyone in my family receives a duplicate card! ((grin))
