During last week's Paper Pumpkin with Boo video we asked subscribers to share what things we could improve on in 2016.
Several of you asked that I share more 3D projects and more "out of the box" ideas.
Since you asked, here you go!
Last weekend I participated in my last craft fair for this year. I began crafting months ago and when I started I knew that I wanted this year's booth to look a little different. I also had the desire to create vintage ornaments.
I purchase chandelier pieces online and added hand-wired crystal beads and a vintage key to each individual piece. I made small, vintage flowers from layers of cardstock that I lightly misted with water to make it more pliable. While the punched flowers were still damp I formed them and allowed them to dry. I loved the results so much that I made a few dozen of these in different colors.
Another vintage favorite were these spools ornaments. I covered the center of the spool with designer paper and hand-wired crystal beads on the ends. I dyed seam binding by placing Crumb Cake refill and rubbing alcohol in the Stampin' Spritzer. I sprayed the seam binding, scrunched them up and allowed them to dry. I created beautiful multi-loop bows that I tied with - ready – Gold Metallic Thread. I know, crazy – but they turned out so pretty!
I also created lots of my favorites which included magnetic clothespins (bottom center), dry erase frames (bottom right) and Hershey's Nugget favors (top right). I created a video on how to make the Hershey's Nugget favors, CLICK HERE.
The Santa bottles (upper left) were Starbucks Frappuccino bottles that my friend, Kellie, gave me. The worst part was removing the labels. UGH! I wrapped them with carstock to resemble Santa's suit and filled them with Tootsie Rolls.
The Santa tag was made from shipping tags and I created my own template for the hat and beard. I used circle punches for his face and nose and sponged them with Blushing Bride ink. The Fringe Scissors were used to create the beard.
Let's not forget about the "gourment dog treats" (bottom left). They aren't gourmet but everyone who visits my booth refers to them that way. It's a silly and simple gift but they sell like crazy. I didn't bring them to my first fair and several people asked where they were?!
After all, our dogs ARE part of the family and deserve a gift!
