Welcome to this month's Blog Hop! We're super excited to share a sneak peek of projects featuring the upcoming Occasions Catalog debuting on January 5, 2016.
You may have arrived here from Phyllis Sheppard's blog or you may have started here. Either way, welcome!
It feels a little weird to be creating spring projects when it's not quite Christmas BUT that weird feeling quickly diminished when I got a HUGE box of new Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration product! That made it feel even more like Christmas – yeah, presents for ME! ((wink, wink))
Blushing Bride, up until a few months ago, wasn't a color I was fond of. Well, hold on, that's all changed! Not only are there an array of designer papers featuring Blushing Bride but there's a new glimmer paper in Blushing Bride and OMG, it's fantastic! I'll be showcasing projects using that gorgeous glimmer paper in upcoming blog posts and videos.
I aimed for a soft look on today's card by using Shimmery White cardstock as the base of my card. I also used the 2 1/2" Circle Punch with Watercolor Paper for my focal point.
I covered the Watercolor Paper using the Spritzer filled with tap water. I then added Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron ink to the wet surface. Once it was dried I stamped the image in Basic Black ink and added a touch of shimmer using Wink of Stella.
My video on Monday, December 28th will teach you step-by-step how to create this card. Mark your calendar so you don't miss it!
The Tea Lace Doilies are the perfect addition for this feminine card. The Curvy Corner Trio Punch offers three designs in one so I took advantage the filigree design and punched two opposite corners of the designer paper. Don't you think it coordinates well with the intricate details of the doily?
Nothing compliments shimmer more than a rhinestone! Every girl has to have a little bling – whether it's Christmas or spring!
Don't stop hopping now! Head over to Lori Mueller's blog and see the fabulous project she's sharing!
So love the softness of the Blushing Bride. I too was not fond on this color before the new designer paper and oh that glimmer. Thanks for sharing your beautiful card. Linda
