I love wood mount stamps. I love the fact that all you have to do is pick them up, ink and stamp. No mounting is required.
However, with that said, I find that I have fewer and fewer wood mount stamp sets in my artillery. That's probably for several reasons.
First, my customers prefer clear mount. They love the ability to be able to see the outline of the rubber image when they stamp. There are definitely fewer crooked stamped images! The second reason is cost. Clear mount stamp sets are less expensive than wood. Finally, storage. Clear mount sets are stored in a slim, DVD style case taking up half of the space of wood mount stamp cases.
During the transition to nearly all clear mount stamps, I've learned a few things about mounting the image stickers. I've also learned a trick on storing them that I'm sharing with you today.
My Project PDF Tutorial library has numerous cards featuring fun, creative creases. The images shown can be easily adapted to any stamp set, color or theme. New Project PDF Tutorials are coming so check back again after the New Year! Take a look at what's currently offered.
The new Occasions Catalog is right around the corner – January 5, 2016! Get a jump start on one of the new stamp sets being offered by joining my January edition of Studio Stamps in the Mail. Details are HERE.
Another great tip! This is a great way to make sure all of your stamps are in the right boxes. Thanks!
