Can you believe that January is almost over and February is around the corner? Whether you enjoy giving (or receiving) Valentine's Day chocolates, today's Blog Hop is bound to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside as we share projects centered around a theme called "All You Need is Love".
I love feminine cards but I decided to challenge myself for this Hop theme. Today's card is masculine and it's spins!
During Sale-A-Bration, when you place a $50 order you can choose a free, exclusive item. This vintage airplane is part of the exclusive offering and is called "Sky is the Limit". And, limited it is. This exclusive, free stamp set is only available through February 15th!
To create this spinner card you will need the Word Window punch. I have several layers of cardstock on the front which allow for the spin/movement of the plane. Here are the cutting dimensions:
- Sahara Sand cardstock base is cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
- Basic Black cardstock layer is cut 5 1/4" x 4"
- Going Places Designer Series Paper is cut 3 3/4" x 5"
Adhere the designer paper to the Basic Black cardstock. Use the Word Window punch and slide it in as far as it will go and punch. Overlap the first punched area and punch again, creating a track across the front of the card.
I stamped the airplane in Basic Black in and used the Sahara Sand marker to color it in. Unfortunately the photograph doesn't pick up the shimmer from the Wink of Stella which I used around the propeller of the plane.
You will need 2 pennies to create the spinner portion. Place one Dimensional between two pennies.
Insert the penny layer into the track as shown below. Use a Dimensional to add the airplane image to the front of the penny. *Images courtesy of Studio 29 Creative.
