Sale-A-Bration is here and it brings a new stamp set called Flowering Fields. Accompanying this stamp set is the coordinating designer paper called Wildflower Fields. I love the deep, rich colors. I've been told the flowers are replicas of those found in Australia.
If you've followed my blog for any amount of time you may have noticed that I'm a big fan of black paired with a bold color like pink or yellow, or in this case, coral. I cut the designer paper 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" and layered a piece of Whisper White cardstock behind it measuring 3 5/8" x 4 7/8".
I wanted to stick to a simple, striking color palette so I chose to emboss the flower and butterfly images in Gold embossing powder.
I refused to cover up those beautiful gold flowers so I created a small vellum strip measuring 1/2" x 4 1/4" and stamped the sentiment (Tin of Cards stamp set) in Basic Black ink. The gold Bow Paper Clip adds the right touch to the opaque vellum strip.
I couldn't let a card get by me without bling. I used my black Sharpie marker to color a few rhinestones and added them to the card. Gosh, I wish you could see this card in person. This picture simply doesn't do it justice!
