It's 5 days until Valentine's Day and that means ridiculous amounts of chocolate. Valentine's Day gives us a "candy pass" to have as much chocolate as we want…well, at least it does at our house!
I've been on a challenge excursion and enjoying the wonderful inspiration provided by sketches, pictures and colors to spark my creativity. Today I'm participating in the Curtain Call Challenge – "Sachet".
This beautiful filigree heart is a thinlit die called "Bloomin' Heart. If you look closely at card you will see I stamped flowers inside the die cut image. I used VersaMark ink which is a watermark ink pad – perfect for tone on tone stamping to create subtle effects like this. This thinlit die comes as a "Bundle" as a 15% savings and includes the Bloomin' Love stamp set which works perfectly with this die. The images in the stamp set are timeless and will make a great addition to your stamping inventory. A heart is appropriate for just about any occasion.
Look closely…can you see the shimmer on this heart? Once I die cut the heart I used the Clear Wink of Stella on the cardstock for a beautiful, soft sparkle. The Wink of Stella is my new, favorite product. It's effortless and doesn't make a mess like glitter.
The Blushing Bride glittered enamel dots are part of the coordinating suite of products called the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit. This kit contains pearl trim, Blushing Bride satin ribbon, bow paper clips, sequins, wood veneer hearts and foil heart doilies.
I stamped the sentiment on Shimmery White Cardstock. Ohhhhh, how I wish the camera could pick up the subtle shimmer of this card. ((heavy sigh)) The sentiment is from Sassy Salutations – one of my favorite greeting sets. The font is super fun, isn't it?
One final note. If you fall in love with this heart thinlit die, do yourself a huge favor and purchase two additional products; the Precision Base Plate and the Big Shot Die Brush. These two products will make die cutting this, and other intricate dies, a breeze!
