I bet the title of today's blog post got your attention! I do have big news – the Big News stamps set.
Today's project was created specifically for the sketch challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch #157. Here's their sketch.
Take a close look at this sketch. It's got a lot of white space doesn't it? Clean and simple cards are 'in' right now and I'll admit, this card took less than 20 minutes to design AND put together. I love the simplicity. This card can easily be adapted to any stamp and any theme. Talk about versatile!
The base of my card is Whisper White and so is the top layer which measures 4" x 5 1/4". I used Dimensionals to create a 3D look between the layers.
I stamped the greeting in Basic Black Archival ink directly on to the top layer. I stamped the greeting a second time on scrap white cardstock. I used a variety of markers to color in the letters to create a rainbow effect. I then fussy cut the greeting, added Dimensionals to the back and positioned it directly over the top layer of my card.
And, of course, it has to have some sparkle! I added sequins from the Brights Sequin Assortment using the Fine Tip Glue.
Here are the specific color markers that I used: Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Tangelo Twist, Cucumber Crush, Pacific Point, Night of Navy, Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant.
Tomorrow is the last day to order your Studio Stamps in the Mail for February. This month's kit includes pre-cut supplies to create 8 cards; 2 each of 4 designs, the Party Wishes stamp set and Party Punch Pack, a PDF tutorial, embellishments and envelopes. You can get all the details HERE.
