It's been a month since I was with the Creativate Team in Kansas City. There are lots of warm memories of our few days together but there's one that keeps replaying in my mind – and in my heart.
On the last day we were all together we sat around a large table. We held hands and each of us took turns praying. We prayed for one another, for our businesses, for wisdom, healing, peace, patience and so much more.
I couldn't help it. I lifted my eyes and looked around the table. Heads were bowed, hearts were open, tears were flowing and the words were so genuine. My heart was so full of gratitude.
I wasn't just grateful for these fabulous women whom I've come to know more like family than friends, but for everything in my life. There's something to be said about praying – it frees the mind, the heart and provides peace.
I thought today's blog post should be about gratefulness and there's a perfect stamp set to go with it; Grateful Bunch.
When I made this card I realized I added a vintage flare to it with the Tea Lace Paper Doily, ribbon and pearls – and I loved it! Have you ever created something and it turned out EXACTLY like you had planned? Yup, rarely happens but this was one of those rare occasions.
The Silver Satin Ribbon is truly overlooked in the annual catalog. It's soft and shimmery and a great buy at $7 for 10 yards (U.S.). After I die cut the label from the Lots of Labels Framelits, (I used the largest one), I punched a hole with the 1/8" handheld punch, threaded 6" of the satin ribbon through, and before pulling the knot, I tucked in a strand of sequins and pearls. The pearls are part of the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit.
I'm grateful for punches, too. This trio of flowers are clustered on one stamp that coordinate perfectly with the Blossom Bunch Punch. This set and punch are available as a bundle saving you 15%. Don't bother buying one without the other. Who wants to fussy cut those cute flowers?!
I count my many blessings every single day and I know the others on the Creativate Team do as well.
We ARE a grateful bunch!
