Textured embossing folders create beautiful backgrounds – so beautiful that it's not necessary to cover them up!
Today I'm participating in the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #159. Here's the sketch that inspired my card.
The great thing about sketch challenges is that they provide a great starting point. I knew I wanted to use the World Traveler Embossing Folder but because of the image orientation I knew my card had to be in the landscape format. I simply changed my card in that direction and added my sentiment around a few banners.
There's no better way to add a greeting over a beautifully embossed background than by using vellum. I created two banners. One uses the Silver Fancy Foil Vellum and the Vellum Cardstock.
The Confetti Stars Punch was used on the Vellum Cardstock and the Triple Banner Punch created perfect banner tips. I punched the star from the Medium Star Punch and the greeting is from the Going Global stamp set which fits perfectly in the 1" Circle Punch.
To coordinate the Silver Fancy Foil vellum and the Silver Foil Sheet star I decided to punch a few small stars using the same Confetti Star Punch and adhere them randomly on the embossed background. The Fine Tip Glue works great for these small punched pieces.
