One of the best parts of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the amazing friends I've made. We all run our businesses differently and we all inspire and share freely. Two of my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators Missy Shipman and Linda Bauwin are responsible for the card I'm sharing today. Missy's team member created this fold technique and Missy shared it with me. Linda created a card very similar to this one and I knew I had to CASE it!
You may have seen this amazing, fun fold and if you haven't you're going to love it. I call it the pleated fold but I'm sure it has other names.
It's a lot easier than it looks and I'll share the visual instructions with measurements below so you can create one yourself. This fold is perfect for either cardstock or designer paper so be sure to try it both ways.
I used the Botanical Builder Framelits to die cut the flower and the leaf. These framelits coordinate with the Botanical Blooms stamp set (page 27 of the Occasions Catalog). I used the Tin of Cards stamp set for the Happy Birthday greeting.
A small pearl fits perfectly in the center of the flower and the black satin ribbon provides the perfect separation between the Botanical Gardens Designer Paper and the pleated fold.
The Designer Paper measurements are 2" x 4" and another piece at 1 1/4" x 3".
I'd love for you to share your pleated fold cards with me. Please email them to me at lisa@lisasstampstudio.com and I will feature your cards in an upcoming post.

Beautiful card today, Lisa. I love the colors and how you pleated the CS. Thanks also for the easy directions. I’m going to try it. Have a great day.
Such a pretty card, Lisa! Like the pleated style too. Want to try to learn how to do this one! Love this stamp set! Thank you for sharing. Love what you create! 🙂
Hi HJ and Deanette! Thank you both for taking the time to comment. The template I’ve included will make it so easy for you. This fold looks difficult but it’s not. Please forward me what you create. I’d love to see them. lisa@lisasstampstudio.com
