When I think of a hexagon I think of a stop sign. But when Stampin' Up! introduced the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set a few years ago I started looking at hexagons in an entirely different way.
When I took a closer look, hexagons were gaining serious popularity. The shape was on bed spreads, curtains, rugs and designer papers!
I experimented with the Tangelo Twist (a retiring In Color) and the Island Indigo colors together. As hard as I try to capture the true essence of my projects, sometimes the pictures don't really portray the "real look". This color combo is WOW in person so give it a try.
I used the Brushstrokes background stamp in Tangelo Twist ink. I stamped off a layer on scratch paper to lighten it.
Several greetings from the Six-Sided Sampler (retiring set) fit conveniently in a few images in this stamp set. The coordinating Honeycomb Embossing Folder (being retired as well) makes for the perfect texture and compliment to this card.

Great card, Lisa. I love these colors together but probably wouldn’t have thought of them without your inspiration. I love hexagon layouts but rarely use them on my cards. Thanks so the inspiration.
Oh, what a wonderful card! I love how you rotated the sketch!
Hi HJ! Hope you’re having a good day! I, too, loved these colors together. I have a video coming out in a few weeks that will provide some new inspiration to coordinate colors. I think you’ll enjoy it! Thanks for stopping by to comment.
Hi Leigh! I’m so glad you like the rotation to the sketch. It’s fun to think outside the box sometimes. Thanks for coming by to comment.
