As we say in Italian "Fioriture di Compleanno vi dà il Benvenuto a Napoli Italia"!
We are on day 2 of the Stampin' Up! Incentive trip. The first day we were at sea and it allowed us time to meet up with my stamping friends. Even though the trip is centered around our achievement as demonstrators, there is a definite aura of vacation. We really haven't talked business!
Today we have docked in Naples, Italy and are about to disembark. My grandmother was born and raised in Naples so we'll do some sightseeing here before we head to the Capri and Anacapri. Bob the Builder, Boo and I have chosen to forgo a tour so we can catch the hydrofoil to visit the other islands.
Now is a great time to place an online order – during my Bon Voyage Bonus! Place an order of any size and receive a BONUS from me. Orders of $25 receive even more! Details can be found HERE.

I decided to experiment with watercolor paper and vellum and I was happy with my results.
The base of my card is Whisper White cardstock and I stamped the small flower image from the Birthday Blooms stamp set in Watermelon Wonder ink. I also stamped the dotted image from this same set in Mint Macaroon to complete the background.
The watercolor paper is cut 3 3/4" x 5" and I used my Aqua Painter, and residual ink from my ink pads, to 'swish' ink randomly in the center. I alternated Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron.
I stamped the floral image in Jet Black Staz On ink onto a piece of Vellum cardstock measuring 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". If you mimic this technique, it's important that you allow the vellum to dry so the image doesn't smear.
Once it was dry I added Clear Wink of Stella to the center of the rose. Sadly, pictures don't do the shimmer justice!
When it was dry, I used the 1/16" handheld hole punch and Mini Silver Brads (brads are retiring!) to anchor the Vellum cardstock to the watercolor paper. Dimensionals were added to the back of this layer to give it some height on the white card base.
It's so simple yet the results are stunning.
My Paper Pumpkin subscribers enjoy 7 alternate project ideas every month that I provide as a way of saying 'thank you'. Here's a sneak peek of what my subscribers received in April.
