There's something about the ocean that is calming.  Maybe it the majesty of the waves, the color of the water or the tranquility that the beach can bring.  

My card features the Seaside Shore stamp set and the new Seaside Embossing Folder, both new products in the annual catalog.

I'd hate to admit this but I haven't been to the beach in – are you sitting down – 5 years!  AND, I live in Florida, just an hour from the most beautiful beaches in the world.  I know, nuts, right?!

Addicted to CAS "Aloha" Challenge #90

I'm determined to break that streak this summer. Bob the Builder doesn't know it, (he doesn't follow my blog), but I'm planning a 2-day get away late this summer for the two of us to bask in the sun, dip our toes in the salt water and just relax.  

You're probably thinking "Lisa, you just had a 15 day European vacation".  Yes, we did and it was amazing, but as Boo said, the European trip was more of an adventure than a relaxing vacation so this will dial in the 'relaxation' part. ((smile)) 

The new Dapper Denim is probably my favorite of the new In Colors. Although I gravitate to the Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach colors I find myself using this Dapper Denim all the time!  It goes with just about everything – just like a great pair of shoes. ((shameless plug for my love of fashion!))

I used a sponge dauber to add Mint Macaroon to the embossing folder's raised edges.  The angel fish was stamped in Dapper Denim ink and then I colored in the remaining areas with the Gold Wink of Stella.  To coordinate the tag, I colored vanilla cardstock with the same Wink, let it dry, then stamped the greeting.  The new burlap ribbon was shredded and several strands were used to tie around the layers.  

This card has me longing for that weekend!
