The new annual catalog introduces new Layered Framelits in circles, squares, ovals stars and hearts. To be honest, I wasn't overly 'excited'. I had framelits for the squares and circles already. I wondered why I needed to buy new ones.
But I did…and then…
THIS happened!
I used the Layer Squares Families to create the frame of this card. The Magnetic Platform allows you to layer both squares on the cardstock as the same time, crank and out comes this perfect frame.
After I die cut the frame I used the Lovely Lace Embossing Folder to give it some texture. Are these two new In Colors,Sweet Sugarplum and Dapper Denim, together?
The flower comes from the Love & Affection stamp set. The word "Wonderful" is part of a larger greeting in Suite Sayings. I used my Night of Navy marker and colored in just the word "Wonderful" to title my banner.
I wanted to add an accessory so I chose the white sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment and a few small pearls.
If you're like me and think you don't "need these" new layering shapes, think again! The old framelits didn't have any scalloped edge images nor were they as closely layered as the new ones.
Paper crafting just got more fun! I'm in heaven!
